25a: Palps very short, usually immovably fixed and not visible; either head rostrate, prolonged into a beak (Figure 26-84A) or antenna geniculate with compact club (Figure 26-94A-C)
25b: Palps longer, flexible, and usually evident (for example, see Figure 26-4); head usually not prolonged into a beak but if rostrate or antenna elbowed and club compact, then palps longer and flexible.
