Pothole Camp to Stairway Canyon

Today's Route Stats:

   Distance:  6.1 miles

   Elevation Gain:  500  feet

   Elevation Loss:  600 feet

Our goal for the day was one of several potholes along the rim of Stairway Canyon.  Again, the location of these potholes was provided to me by Rich Rudow.  Because we had not been covering much ground so far, we needed to cover more ground today if we were to have any hope of finishing this hike in 8 days.  The potholes were still plentiful, so we didn't need to carry more than a liter of water.

For the most part the hiking was very easy.  The only difficult sections were when heading side canyons.  The weather was perfect, which made for a very enjoyable day.
