Today's Route Stats:

   Distance:  3.3 miles

   Elevation Gain:  400

   Elevation Loss:  300

I would now be on new turf.  When I tried this route in April 2017 (with Ben and Rob), we turned around at Cork Spring due to worries about water.

I was a bit worried about the side canyons we would have to negotiate -- they looked nasty on Google Earth.  But we were pleasantly surprised to find a faint trail just when needed.  Once we rounded The Cork, it was a straight shot to the potholes.

Since we didn't have a good name for the pothole we were heading for today, we decided to call it the Cork Pothole, because it is the pothole closest to The Cork that we knew of.  Again, its location was provided to me by Rich Rudow.

Mount Sinyella Mount Sinyella. Rich and Ben.

Flatiron Butte on Distant South Rim. Ben. Ben and Bob in Camp at Sunset.
