Today's Route Stats:

   Distance:  3.8 miles

   Elevation Gain:  400  feet

   Elevation Loss:  500 feet

The rain last night changed everything.  Our sprits and optimism were greatly improved.  Water-filled potholes were everywhere.  Our destination for the day was the head of Big Point Canyon.  We all started out with just one liter of water each.  The hiking was mostly pretty easy.  We often found sections of the trail, which made hiking much easier.

With some puffy white clouds and hundreds of potholes sparkling in the sunlight, the hiking was a pure delight.
