Day 6 October 15, 2010 Kwagunt to Nankoweap via the Horsethief Route |

Today's route stats: Distance: 5.2 miles Elevation Gain: 1250 feet Elevation Loss: 1650 feetOur plan for the day was to hike back down Kwagunt to the Horsethief route, then climb to the saddle near Nankoweap Butte, and down into the Nankoweap drainage. A few of us climbed Nankoweap Butte before heading down to Nankoweap Creek. We camped in the same place we camped on our first night.
